Jennifer Worth MSW, LCSW, LSCSW has a Bachelor of Arts, Psychology (1999) from Carleton University, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, and a Master of Social Work (2005) from Newman University in Wichita, Kansas. Jennifer is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Missouri and a Licensed Specialist Clinical Social Worker in Kansas. She is also an EMDRIA Certified therapist and Certified Daring Way facilitator.
Her practice focuses on depression, anxiety, trauma, and post-traumatic stress disorder. The primary interventions she uses are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) techniques, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Bowen Family Systems Theory. Jennifer’s approach is informed by Dr. Bren Brown’s research. Jennifer believes in the brain-body connection and enjoys using this approach with clients. She trusts that each person enters treatment with coping and interpersonal skills. Jennifer works with clients to enhance their current skill set and provide additional skills for improved functioning in the future.
In 2016 Jennifer moved her private practice to Foundational Concepts, a specialty physical therapy clinic which specializes in pelvic dysfunction. Jennifer is the owner of Worth It. By working closely with the physical therapists at Foundational Concepts, Jennifer learned quickly about the power of the brain and body connection. Jennifer works closely with the physical therapists to support mental health during treatment of physical health.
Jennifer accepts referrals from the community at-large, as well as treating Foundational Concepts patients. She is in-network with United Healthcare and Medicare insurances. Jennifer is currently offering teletherapy sessions only.
