A Group for New Moms Moms and Babies are invited Thursday afternoons from 3:00-4:00pm Led by: Rebecca Ray, LCSW & Rose Wigodner, LCSW, CDWF At Foundational Concepts 601 E. 63rd Street, KCMO 64110 Conference Room A, Fourth Floor Cost $120 for 4 Group Sessions
group objectives:
unAre you struggling to adjust to your new role as a Mother? Do you find yourself:
Second guessing what you are doing?
Worrying that you aren't "perfect" or even "good enough"?
Comparing yourself to other Moms?
Worrying what others are thinking about you or judging you?
While many of these experiences and feelings come with the territory of being a new Mom, feelings of shame are frequently at the root of that perfectionistic thinking and self-judgement. And it doesn't have to be that way!
Worth It therapists Rebecca Ray and Rose Wigodner will be offering a psychoeducational group for new Moms! This group will be based on the research of Brené Brown, Ph.D. (and Mom) and her books The Gifts of Imperfection and Daring Greatly. Expect a good mix of skills-based learning, shame resilience, and empathic support from other Moms as you navigate all the new challenges that come with motherhood. We'll keep it short and simple because we KNOW you're busy and tired!
This group will be held in our Brookside office. Moms AND Babies under 12 months are welcome!
